Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, is one of the most commercially successful rappers of all time, with more than 100 million albums sold worldwide which means he has every right to be considered for the “richest rappers of all time” list.

According to Forbes, as of 2021, Eminem has a net worth is roughly $230 million dollars. In a given year, Eminem makes around $20 million a year. In years where he is actively touring to support an album, his annual earnings can easily approach $30-50 million.

The influential white rapper who is still challenging the stereotypes of rap music was born on October 17, 1972, in St. Joseph, Missouri. Just as any typical celebrity, he didn’t grow up in a wealthy home and his childhood was a challenging one for him as well.

His father Bruce abandoned him and his mother before he moved to California and started a new family. The multi-platinum selling American rapper was often bullied as a child and beaten up whenever he was in school. His mother was also not very supportive as she struggled with issues of substance abuse and mental illness.

Before Eminem got involved with hip-hop, he was an individual with interests in comic books and storytelling. He, however, dropped out of Lincoln High school at 17 years old and focused on working various jobs to help him pay the bills.

Fortunately for his big help came through in the year 1997, when he was spotted by Dr Dre, the founder of Aftermath entertainment, and began working with him. Two years later, The Slim Shady LP he released caught the attention of the music industry and went Platinum and since then he has been making consistent waves.

As of now, Eminem has won 15 Grammy Awards, eight American Music Awards, seventeen Billboard Awards and an Academy Award, as well as 10 number 1 albums on Billboard 200. Although he is not a businessman on the level of Jay-Z, Eminem has earned most of his money from his music sales and holds the record of the best selling albums of all time.

Although he keeps his assets away from the public, much is known about his taste for cars. Eminem owns 12 expensive cars including an Aston Martin V8 Vantage, which is worth $150,000, a rare Ferrari 575, a Porsche Carrera GT, an Audi R8 Spyder, Lamborghini Aventador and as well as a McLaren MP4-12C among many others.
